This product is specifically formulated by La Belle Epoque Pens for use on removing oxidization from hard rubber (ebonite) pens using non-toxic and environmentally friendly products.
The hard rubber is submerged in the product where the oxide is chemically altered, allowing it to be polished off from the pen using light pressure with towels.
As the product does remove material it should be used with discretion when considering chasing or imprints.
Most users also elect to follow up with the extra-fine polish.
The product has no effect on metals and as such can be safely used on overlays.
