The pen that started the pneumatic trend with Sheaffer, the 1949 "fat" Touchdown. The pneumatic Touchdown system from Sheaffer was the precursor to the Snorkel system where the the extension of the Touchdown and depression operates the system to compress the sac and fill it with ink.

Condition: The pen is well worn with significant discolouration around the blindcap and bleeding of the burgundy into the white dot. Mechanically the pen is in excellent working condition. Filling system has had a complete restoration with a new sac and seals. Please see the photos for a complete photographic assessment of the quality of the pen.
