The pneumatic Touchdown system from Sheaffer was the precursor to the Snorkel system where the the extension of the Touchdown and depression operates the system to compress the sac and fill it with ink.
This white dot model is labelled the Sheaffer Valiant Touchdown TM. The TM indicates it is the thinner model introduced in 1950 to replace the very short lived "Fat model".Details:

Condition: The pen is very good overall condition with an ambered ink view window. The barrel is a replacement from another touchdown from the same region of manufacture and era.
